Xero Live-Sync allows you to automatically keep Tola in sync with your accounting software.
Connecting
When you connect your Xero account to Tola, we import your Chart of Accounts as well as all Contacts, Invoices, and Payments that have been recorded in Xero. No data in Tola prior to connecting is exported to Xero when we connect. This is done to make sure your accounting platform remains clean and tidy.
From this moment forward any updates to Contacts and Invoices in Xero will be automatically recorded in Tola. Any Contacts and Invoices created in Tola will be automatically exported to Xero.
Chart of Accounts
The Chart of Accounts (COA) is imported when we connect to Xero, including the following fields:

code
💡 Chart of Accounts is copied into Tola at the time you connect to Xero. COA is not synced in real-time as Xero does not provide support for this functionality at this time.

Contacts
Contacts in Xero are synced with Contacts in Tola. The fields that are synced include:
name
email
phoneNumber
address (with certain limitations, as detailed below)
contactName
Addresses: In Tola, a vendor has 1 address. In Xero, a contact can have a POBOX address and a STREET address. We keep the STREET address in sync.
Payment information is not synchronized between Tola and Xero; Tola requires that you enter this information or Tola can collect this from your vendor per your request

Bills/Invoices
Bills and invoices are synced between both systems. The following fields are synced:
type (accounts payable or accounts receivable)
date of issue
due date
invoice number
contact information
line items
Scheduled/Paid via Tola: For payment security reasons, a bill that has been scheduled for payment in Tola can no longer be edited. Any further edits made in Xero will not sync back to Tola.
Approvals: Bills exported from Tola exist as “Drafts” in Xero. We do not currently modify the lifecycle of the Bill in Xero, even when it is approved or paid in Tola. At the moment, Bills in Xero must be approved and marked as paid separately.
Line Items: Bills exported from Tola are “Tax Inclusive”. When a bill has multiple line items, its amount cannot currently be edited from within in Tola.

Payment Reconciliation
If you mark an Invoice as paid in Xero it will be marked as Paid in Tola provided the Invoice was not previously scheduled for payment in Tola.
At this time, Payments from Tola are not exported to Xero. However, you may download a transaction statement from Tola that reconciles with your bank transactions. Access this statement via your organization's accounting settings
